The dresser is complete

After our minor derailment during phase 1 (weather related) the dresser is finally complete. After the last post about it, all I did was clear coat the rest (What I could given how cold it was), attach hardware, pull the beast up a flight of stairs (I still think I got the hard part of that job, babe. I’m just sayin….) and insert the drawers. Decor on it is temporary (the vase is borrowed from my dining room) until I find what I have in mind for on top of it.

So without further ado, here is the before

And here is the lovely after:

Spectacular! That dresser reminds me of a side table that my ex-boyfriend’s mom gave me years ago. I wish I had painted it white!

I followed your link from Better After. What a magnificent refinishing job! I refinish a lot of furniture – big fan of Zinsser primer. Can’t wait to try the hardware paste and Rustoleum’s Metallic Spray Paint you mentioned in your Phase 1 post. Well done!

Oh…I saw this exact same design but in a horizontal dresser at the Salvation Army in Austin today! I stood there and stood there and told my mom…”now, this is the of dresser that the blogging ladies would take on!”…I just couldn’t picture what to do with it (and we need another long dresser like a whole in the head…but still) These kind of makeovers make me want to pitch all my furniture and go buy some ugly ones with hidden beauty! Job WELL DONE!

Wow, this is gorgeous! I saw it on Before and Afters and had to come check it out.
